Hughton has done a great job Newcastle and has been a fantastic asset to the club. In previous seasons when managers where coming and going through the revolving managerial door, Hughton was happy to fill the gap and has twice been caretaker manager for the club.
On each occasion he made no fuss and got back to work when the new men came in. Then in 2009 when he was given the title of full time manager of Newcastle, hardly a bad thing can be said.
He soared the magpies to promotion at the first time of asking, which is easier said than done looking at clubs such as Reading, Middlesbrough and Watford.
This season, back in the big league, Newcastle's stand out moments have been a stunning victory away to Arsenal, the sweetest of derby thrashings and knocking Chelsea out of the Carling Cup.
When you look at other clubs below Newcastle in their impressive 11th league position, such as Liverpool, Everton and Fulham there is only one way to describe Hughton. Desperately unlucky.
It seems Mike Ashley is the only real answer for Hughtons unfair sacking. The fans weren't calling for his head, the players seemed to be a well gelled group and the results were far from disastrous.
His decision seems incredibly harsh and is almost beyond reason. The sooner Ashley leaves Newcastle, and fingers crossed football, the better. Plain and simple... you could even say it's black and white.
That's All Folks.
